Spring Renewal

Isn’t spring “the bomb” as they say in the USA? Or they used to say in the 90s. It's sort of appropriate as it suddenly springs to life like a love bomb from God! I’ve longed for spring this year. It’s the change of season that everyone needs after a long winter. It heralds new beginnings and of course new life. As we proceed through Holy Week to Easter, I’ve been pondering all things new, and lifting my heart up to God so that he can help me get rid of all the dead stuff of winter and to help me to see the areas of my life where my heart has grown a little chilly. I attended a wonderful conference this weekend where the power of God was present in all sorts of ways. It felt like a timely jumpstart to me. I left with a renewed sense of purpose.

One of the ways that God speaks to us about our heart issues is through dreams. God is always redeeming us and transforming us from glory to glory and he does this by helping us deal with our heart issues by reflecting them back to us through dream parables. I had one of these recently and it certainly provoked me to act in a certain area. In the dream I was showing a well-known actor an old fashioned photo album - remember those ones with the sticky card backing and the cellophane protection sheeting for over the photos? The dream revealed an area of my life from the past that I needed to let go of.

Write Your Dream Down Pronto

 Daniel 7:1

"In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying in bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream."

Notice from the above verse that the first thing Daniel did after he saw the dreams and visions was to write down the substance of his dream. He was ready and prepared with his writing materials nearby. However vivid the dream is upon waking, a dream can vanish swiftly if it is not written down pronto. Dreams before coffee people! The substance is the main action of the dream, or the main points. I often use the arrow method (all methodology is in my book!) to get the substance of the dream down quickly. I use this method when I am helping people interpret dreams too. Often, the gist of the dream - the general message can come as you do this, but if it does not, pray and ruminate on your dream over the day and then when you have time to go back to it, the substance of the dream will be there, and the substance will help trigger any details you don't remember. Ask God to reveal anything you might have forgotten and don't worry if you can't remember everything. God is faithful! Steward your dreams well and more understanding will come.

Code Red

 

 

I had a vision of a red alarm clock today. It was ringing and jumping around. The colour red in this case, signifies an emergency and we all know that an alarm wakes you up! The vision came as I was seeking the Lord about teaching and coaching people in the language of heaven and how to go about doing that. I was also reminded of a word God gave me on my birthday in December 2022 in which He told me that as the days grow darker, the need for true wisdom will grow stronger. This precipitated me becoming a coach. True wisdom comes from God and in order to get wisdom, we need to hear God’s voice. As we know from the Bible, God’s voice comes from hearing and seeing. Jesus taught the believers who had ears to hear and eyes to see, in the symbolic language of parables. The language of heaven is a symbolic language. Believers hear God’s voice and they see visions in dream and in waking life - as I did today with the alarm clock. The language of heaven is a visionary language that only believers understand. This language can take a while to learn but we have the power of the Holy Spirit to guide us all. Some of us are more adept at seeing and hearing this language as we have been students of it for a while which is why some of us are equipped to disciple in this area.

I have been interpreting dreams for nearly a quarter of a century and now help people all over the world to interpret dreams. Why you should be paying attention to your dreams

“’In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” Acts 2:17

Do you think that dream you had last night may have been to do with you digesting that curry? Or was it you processing your thoughts from the day? Perhaps you are under the misapprehension that even though God spoke to people in the Bible through dreams, He doesn’t do so anymore. This is erroneous thinking. If you follow that course of logic we would need to discount tongues, visions, prophecy, the lot. Do you pay any attention to your dreams at all?

Throughout the ages, and as the Bible shows, from Genesis to Revelation God has been speaking to us in the symbolic language of dreams and visions, and He still speaks to us through dreams today: to believers and non believers alike; to prophets, priests, ordinary men and women, and ungodly kings. From the Abramic covenant that established the nation of Israel to the 5 dreams that surrounded the circumstances of Jesus’s birth to the grande finale of the extended visions that take place in the book of Revelation. Nothing has changed. God uses the same heavenly lingua franca that He has done since the ancient of days. Since He is the Ancient of Days! God has been directing me, warning me, encouraging me and otherwise speaking to me through my dreams since I was a tiny child and I first had encounters with angels in my dreams. The Bible is a powerhouse of prophecy, poetry, exposition and song, that details the lives of ordinary people that God instructed and made dynamic through dreams and visions. You too can have these daily messages delivered to you. The prophet Joel tells us, and the apostle Paul reminds us, that in the last days - these days - people will have dreams and visions. You too can wake up to experiencing dreams. Start paying attention to the symbolic language of dreams today.
